my car about a year ago. I asked what he was looking for and was told everything. I aksed for clarification and he stated that it is illegal to modify a car in any way from how it came from the factory. And I had obviously broken that law many times over. So I asked him why the repair shops or dealerships offer after market items and why the parts stores have all kinds of after market stuff on the shelfs and he told me to shut up and stop being a smart ass. Then he asked if I wanted a ticket for the modified exhaust or the license plate cover. I asked which was cheaper and he said forget it, here is a ticket for both. Then he almost drove off with my keys which he confiscated when he pulled me over since he thought I would run on him. He treated me like I was some punk kid and not a 36 year old man wearing hospital scrubs with a hospital badge hanging from my neck that said "Kaiser South Emergency Services" on it. Since that day I have had little respect for Rancho PD police. But I must say I have had several interactions with Sac County Sheriffs and they have all been cool.
